Twiter Tools/ Add-ons
Here are a few add-ons I found:
http://www.socialoomph.com/- allows you to schedule twitter posts, monitor tweets on a particular key word, automatically adds new followers to your list of followers, and removes followers who have removed you. This is definitely promoted for business who want to track and monitor customers. If I had a business this would be a great tool.
http://twittervision.com- a fun add-on that allows you to see who is tweeting around the world and what they are tweeting about. If I was considering traveling to a particular city in the world I may use this to see what its citizens were tweeting about. Its a good way to get in touch with the culture of an area.
http://phweet.com/- allows you to talk to twitter friends through the web. The audio element can be useful if you don't feel comfortable exchanging phone numbers with a follower via twitter but would like to have a deeper conversation than the 140 word limit allows or prefer to talk for free without using cell phone minutes.
http://microrevie.ws/- allows you to review products or services of your choice. this is really useful for a business but seems somewhat limited because you have to know that it exists. However if you want to read reviews you can read tweets exclusively about reviews here. I would use this to review hotels or electronic gadgets.
http://www.twalala.com/login- allows you to filter what you see and don't see on twitter. This is ideal particularly when you follow several people. Twitter can easily be information overload so I would definitely use this in order to follow specific people, tweet2tweets, or subjects of my choice.
